Like riding a bicycle, you have to keep your eyes on the goal if you’re going to stay upright. So you’ve got to get rid of any kind of resentment, however justified, if you are going to walk through life with God.
Jesus is preaching LOVE & FORGIVENESS – we need to go beyond any form of retaliation – go beyond fear, anger, revenge else we are committing a sin too. Jesus is preaching to be “sin free” – LOVING
I think this can be certainly practised by individuals (at least attempted) – but very difficult for communities as without “laws” and prisons / fines/ punishments there would be anarchy? Humans are not perfect – but on an individual level certainly we can attempt / strive to practice & we should ❤️
