Day 1:  Luke 2.1-21:  In those days a decree went out from Emperor Augustus

Day 2:  Mark 1.1-20:  The beginning of the good news of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Day 3:  Mark 2.1-17:  When he returned to Capernaum after some days  

Day 4:  Mark 4.1-20:  Again he began to teach beside the lake  

Day 5:  Matthew 5.1-16:  When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain; and after he sat down, his disciples came to him

Day 6:  Matthew 5.21-48:   ‘You have heard that it was said to those of ancient times, “You shall not murder”  

Day 7:  Matthew 6.19-34:   ‘The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light

John’s Gospel

Day 4:  John 11.1-53:  Now a certain man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha  

Day 5:  John 14:  ‘Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.

Day 6:  John 18.28 – 19.30:  Then they took Jesus from Caiaphas to Pilate’s headquarters.  

Day 7:  John 20:  Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb
